NAFAA embarks on a modern road construction as part of ancillary activities towards the development of the Mesurado Industrial Fishing Port
There are reports that modalities are been worked out by NaFAA in partnership with the World Bank office in Liberia for the construction of a 0.6km access road corridor of the famous Mesurado Industrial Fishing port.
The 0.6Km road is expected to run from the edge of the Maritime Office around the Coast Guard Base to the Mesurado Industrial Fishing Port which will shortly be constructed.
The road when completed will be modernized up to acceptable standard with street lights on both sides of the road.
This modern construction of the road will coincide with the demolition of community structures including the clearing of all debris along the road side straight to the fishing pier.
Accordingly, the industrial fishing port when constructed will be a major boost to the fishing sector and will also enable the landing of vessels fishing deep in Liberia waters.
From what has also been gathered, the road construction will create employment opportunity across coastal counties around the country.
