According to DEO Mambu, five of those government schools operating in the district lack chairs and he named them as the R.W.K Moore Public School; the E. J. Yancy Annex Public School; the Marwoda Public School; the 14 Road Public School and the Green Memorial Public School.
The DEO boosted that the Ministry of Education has employed over 203 volunteer teachers who are assigned at various public school in the district but they are yet to receive salary from the government.
DEO Mambu warned that if nothing is done to provide chairs for the students attending the schools, enrollments of these schools will drop this academic year.
