ECOWAS Reduces Management Team To 7 Members
…As Brou Turns Over To Touray

Dr. Omar Alieu Touray yesterday officially took over from Jean-Claude Kassi Brou as president of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) for the next four years.
Dr. Omar who took over the mantle of authority yesterday, July 13, 2022, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria, will now be heading a Seven-member Commission.
According to a dispatch, other statutory appointees heading ECOWAS Institutions also assumed office yesterday along with Dr. Omar.
The new statutory appointees were named at the just concluded 61st Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in Accra on July 3, 2022.
