The National Steering Committee (NSCL) of Liberia has announced the 2022 Bicentennial Special activities commencing from February 11-19, 2022.
In a press statement issued yesterday, following the Armed Forces Day celebration at 8: 00 AM at the Barclay Training Center, there will be National Muslim Prayer Day to be held at Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS).
On Sunday, February 13, a national prayer will take place on the grounds of the Executive Mansion and on same day beginning at 8:00 PM, there will be a national candle Vigil at the Samuel K. Doe Sports Complex.
The release said on February 14 at about 8:00 AM, the official launch of Liberia’s 2022 Bicentennial will take place at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex in Paynesville after which, a national cultural festival will be launched.
There will also be Heads of States Summit held at the Executive Mansion from 3:00PM- 5:00PM and later in the evening; President George Manneh Weah will host a Bicentennial dinner ceremony beginning at 6:00PM on the grounds of the Executive Mansion.
There will also be the University of Liberia (UL) founder’s day international conference held at the Ministerial Complex in collaboration with the Steering Committee of the 2022, Bicentennial and partners.
