Monrovia Central Prison
Administration Lauds Jeety

The administration of the Monrovia Central Prison has extolled Upjit Singh, commonly known as Jeety for his unrelenting humanitarian gestures rendered to the prison over the years.
In a release issued recently, the Prison’s administration stated that apart from the feeding of prisoners, Jeety also ensured that the facility now has a pipe borne water following their request during his last humanitarian visit.
“We, the Administration of the Monrovia Central Prison facility, after requesting for your help concerning the issue of water supply, promised the Prison authority that by the end of November 2021, all of our housing facilities would have had access to running water,” the release stated.
“So, as we speak today, water now runs in all of the housing units, the clinic, bakery and other sites that needed water and this we want to say a big thank you,” the prison administration asserted.
They release further intimated, “We were also blessed when you included in the project the installation of a two-500 liter poly tank for water storage along with a 5.5KVA generator for the supply of water whenever there is any power outage from the Liberia Electricity Cooperation (LEC).”
“It is in this regard that the leadership of the Monrovia Central Prison in consonant with the BCR Headquarters have earnestly written to recognize, appreciate and say a very big thank you for putting smiles on the faces of the inmate population and the entire work force at the prison,” the release added.
It can be recalled that since the Coronavirus outbreak in Liberia, Jeety has contributed immensely to several fabrics of the Liberian society through his hot meal/food distribution.
