The Liberia Drugs Enforcement Agency (LDEA) office in Nimba, says two drug dealers have been hooked and sent to court for prosecution.
Speaking to this medium, the LDEA Acting Commander, Malison W. Gaylah, named Abdul Juleel, 45, and Jerry Zlogon, 42, as the two suspects sent to court for being possession of marijuana.
According to LDEA Gaylah, suspect Abdul Juleel, was booked with five compressed plates of marijuana on the Ghana transport bus bearing plate number B2207 at the Liberia Immigration Service check point in Sanniquellie while coming from Ghana to Monrovia.
“Suspect Abdul Juleel, who is a driver by profession is charged with trafficking, sale and possession and Jerry Zlogan is charged with cultivation of narcotics substances and are all sent to court for prosecution”, LDEA Gaylah disclosed.
Speaking further, the LDEA’s Acting County Commander boasted that Jerry Zlogon was allegedly booked with over ten thousand seeds of marijuana in Tappita.
“Preliminary investigation conducted revealed that Abdul Juleel is a driver of the bus bearing plate number B 2207 which runs from Accra to Monrovia. The drugs were found under the driver’s seat. Suspect Juleel admitted ownership of the drugs”, Acting Commander Gaylah, intimated.
The LDEA Acting County Commander Gaylah replaces outgoing commander Alexander Payne, who is reportedly undergoing investigations in Monrovia.
Nimba is among the 15 counties of Liberia that tops individual drug users coupled with drug related issues, according to LDEA’s report released in the County.
Attempts to contact the County Attorney, John Miah’s office via mobile phone, proved fruitless as the number was off up to press time.
