Police in Ganta, Nimba County has charged and sent to court one Abraham Saye, 34, and Vajomo Johnson, 48, for theft of property in connection with steel rods.
Speaking to this paper in Ganta, the Constar Construction Company’s Manager, Aaron Lankeh alleged that unknown men clandestinely entered the company’s compound in the night and stole 1, 500 pieces of steel rods.
Manager Lankeh disclosed the 96 pieces of the steel rods stolen was discovered at two business centers in Ganta.
“The total value of the pieces is US$ 24, 000 and two persons have been hooked by the LNP, charged and sent to court for prosecution,” Lankeh explained.
Lankeh added that incident took place on the compound on May 26, 2023 and that the case was reported to the Police.
When this paper contacted the Police station in Ganta, CSD investigators confirmed the arrest and subsequent detention of two businessmen.
CSD Preston Gonpue revealed that the two men admitted to buying the stolen steel rods from somebody (name withheld) during preliminary investigations thereby denying the burglary.
