Tebeh FC Clinch 2025 LFA Montserrado County 3rd Division Playoff Title

Tebeh Football Club have been crowned champions of the 2025 Liberia Football Association Montserrado County Third Division playoffs after a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over the Blackman Warriors feeder team in the grand final held Tuesday at the Two United Sports Association (TUSA) Field in Gardnersville.
The Gardnersville-based side, under the guidance of Coach Christian Mend, displayed grit and determination to overturn a one-goal deficit and seal their spot at the top.
The win not only earned them county bragging rights but also cemented their place in the upcoming LFA Regional Playoffs, where the stakes will be even higher for promotion to the National Second Division League.
The grand final of Montserrado county was a high-intensity contest.
Blackman Warriors struck first, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to take the lead.
However, Tebeh FC responded with urgency and composure, leveling the score before halftime.
The second half saw both teams pressing for a winner, but it was Tebeh FC who had the final say, netting the decisive goal to complete the comeback and lift the trophy.
With the title secured, Tebeh FC now shift their focus to the next phase of their campaign which is the LFA Regional Playoffs as they continue their push for promotion to the second division.
In the first round, they will face Shappimah Football Club that is representing Gbarpolu County. Coach Mend praised his players for their fighting spirit and tactical discipline throughout the competition, especially in the final.
“It was a tough match against a very good side, but the boys believed and stuck to the plan.
This is a big step forward for the club,” he said.
The championship won marks another milestone in Tebeh FC’s growing legacy and adds to their record of top performances in county football.
Defeating the formidable Blackman Warriors feeder team that was considered favorites by many only adds more weight to their achievement.
As the Regional Playoffs approach, Tebeh FC will be looking to carry their momentum forward and continue their dream run toward second division football.
On several occasions it has been revealed by Trokon Roberts, the Chief Executive Officer of Tebeh that the dream and vision of his club is to hit the pinnacle of Liberian football.
Driving to this target, the team started with a grassroot academy program a few years ago, transitioned into a functional football club and started competing in the third division.
Going to the county playoff for the very first time increased their hopes of walking to the zenith gradually.
While playing in the regional playoff also for their first time, Tebeh focus remains to complete the competition among the top three performing teams to gain promotion to the Second Division.
