Senator Joseph Donates Medical Supplies To Bong’s County Health Team

Montserrado County Senator, Saah Joseph, has donated a consignment of medical drugs to Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe for onward presentation to the Bong County Health Team.
Speaking at the donation ceremony on Sunday, September 29, 2024, in Gbarnga, Bong County, Senator Joseph said the substantial contribution is aimed at bolstering the health sector and improving access to medication for the citizens of Bong County.
Senator Joseph emphasized that the donation is part of his ongoing efforts to promote healthcare and ensure that residents receive the medical attention they need.
The Montserrado County Senator said the medical consignment was given to him by his partners (Gateway Medical Alliance) based in the United States of America.
He further revealed that the donation is intended to buttress government’s efforts when it comes to the revamping process of the healthcare delivery system of Bong County and Liberia at large.
Senator Joseph, has at the same time, promised to connect Senator Johnny Kpehe to the Gateway Medical Alliance family for future donations.
Moreover, the Montserrado County Senator promised to provide 50 computers to Senator Kpehe’s computer literacy program in the County.
The CDC Senator revealed further that similar donation will be carried out across the country, as a means of buttressing President Joseph Boakai’s efforts in the healthcare delivery system.
Joseph’s generous donation of a 40ft container with assorted medical supplies worth US$210, 646 to the Government Hospital and other Hospitals and health facilities in the county brought an unendurable joy to the citizens of Gbarnga.
In remarks, Senator Kpehe expressed deep gratitude, praising the senator for his kindness and dedication to public service.
The Bong County Senator encouraged him (Senator Joseph) to continue his commendable work in advancing the interests of the country and its people.
Senator Kpehe emphasized that the donation will help in easing some of the suffering less privileged locals are going through in terms of accessing quality healthcare services in the County.
He further stressed the need for joint efforts in buttressing the government in solving the country’s deplorable health condition.
Meanwhile, Senator Kpehe has assured the Montserrado County Senator that the medical consignment would be turned over to his colleagues, the members of the Bong County Legislative Caucus, for an onward presentation to the County Health Team.
