The Inquirer Newspaper has gathered that the registrar of a local school, the Christian Leadership Training Academy in the Omega community in Paynesville, has reportedly vanished along with thousands of dollars in school fees collected from struggling parents.

The incident, according to information, has left the community and the school authorities in serious turmoil, leaving parents to express outrage and frustration over the loss of their hard-earned money.
The Christian Leadership Training Academy, which teaches students from early childhood (ABC) up to 12th grade, was once called the ‘Vision Trust Training Academy’ before changing its name to what it is being called now.

However, the accused registrar is yet to be identified, but the angry parents narrated that the school’s registrar ran away with all the money meant for their children’s enrollment for the 202/2025 academic year.

In an interview with Kool FM online TV, the school is now asking them to repay their children’s fees, warning that students will not be allowed in class if they fail to pay the required tuition for their child/children.

One of the parents, who did not mention her name during the interview, cried out, “This isn’t fair to us because we have already paid. Why not go after your employee who deliberately made away with the fees that we paid?”

“It’s devastating because we trusted this school with our money, and now we don’t know what to do. We can’t afford to pay again. Even though we were told to pay fees at the bank, not on the school campus.
Many of us never got the school’s official handbook to confirm this despite all efforts in pursuing the school handbook. Now, see what has happened to us; we need the government through the Ministry of Education to intervene now,” she added.

Another parent, only identified as Pa Gono, further expressed his disbelief and anger over the situation, and warned, “If this school doesn’t want to see the other side of me, they should provide my money now or else, I will show them the other side of me.”

According to him, it is unfortunate that a school will employ a ‘rogue’ in such a serious position in their institution, but refuses to take responsibility for their own negligence and wants to blame parents for their staff’s actions.

Pa Gono added, “They told us to pay at the bank, but when some of us got to the bank, we were told there were no bank slips, and that was when the registrar started collecting money directly at the school campus.”

“He assured us that he would take it to the bank and bring back receipts, and when some of us asked about the transparent nature of the transaction, we were assured that the school’s authorities were in the know.

So, how do you expect us to know that he was lying or was on a mission? We need an answer to this, and we want to know the whereabouts of their registrar, or else, they will not be able to contain our troubles,” he added.

Meanwhile, as it stands, over 75% of the students are now out of school sitting at their respective homes due to the ongoing protests from their parents, while the remaining 25% are finding it very difficult to be taught due to the absence of teachers.

The Ministry of Education is yet to issue an official statement or launch an investigation into the allegations, despite all efforts through calls by this paper to hear from the Ministry concerning the matter.
