The Bong County Detachment of the Liberia National Police has launched an investigation into the death of a man believed to be 28 years old in the county.
The lifeless body of the man was discovered in a vehicle parked at the Bong County Health Team office on the Phebe Compound in Suakoko District 5.
According to eyewitnesses, the discovery was made early Tuesday morning when staffers arrived to work and noticed an unusual odor coming from a Corolla Taxi parked within the premises.
Upon inspection, the body of an unidentified male was found slumped in the front seat of the vehicle in the county.
Health officials and Law Enforcement Officers from the Liberia National Police Bong Detachment quickly secured the scene as investigators began collecting evidence surrounding the crime.
The Bong County Superintendent for Police, Fasu Sheriff, told the Inquirer Newspaper, as of now, the identity of the deceased and the circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear.
The Bong County Police Commander said the body has been deposited at the St. Moses Funeral Home in Gbarnga for examination and preservation as the police continue their investigation in the County.
However, authorities are urging anyone with information that could help in aiding the investigation to contact the nearest police station.
