The Executive Director of the Joseph N. Boakai Foundation, Jackson K. George, says four major hospitals across the country are expected to benefit from supplies worth US$450,000.
Speaking to reporters over the weekend at the Foundation’s Center in Rehab, George named the C.H. Rennie Hospital, the Phebe Hospital, the John F. Kennedy Medical Center and the Redemption hospital as beneficiaries of the medical supplies.
He stated that there are plans to include other medical centers on the project, but that will be done at a later date.
According to him, the consignments of the medical supplies were donated by CURE, CO and USA.
JNB Foundation’s Executive Director revealed that the consignments contain medical equipment such as beds, lines, towels, surgical caps, hats and shoe covers.
George said the JNB Foundation is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to fostering sustainable development and improving the well-being of communities, particularly in underprivileged regions.
The Head of the JNB Foundation further explained that the foundation is committed to empowering communities through integrated development initiatives; saying, its goals are to enhance livelihoods, promote social equity and build resilient societies.
The foundation was established in 2018 with a vision to create a positive social impact; adding that its focuses are on the ARREST Agenda targeting Agriculture, Health, Education, Youth and Gender Development, Water and Sanitation and Environment.
Director George narrated that the foundation has adopted a holistic approach to community development, recognizing the interconnectedness of various sectors.
The foundation collaborates with government agencies, NGOs, local organizations, and private sector partners to leverage resources, expertise, and networks, these partnerships enable the foundation to maximize its impact, he concluded.
