The Christian Interdenominational Assemblies (CHRIDA) Ministries has celebrated its 34th anniversary with a grand commemorative event that showcased the Ministry’s commitment to spreading the gospel across Liberia and into the outermost parts of the earth.
This milestone celebration, which ended with a joint service of all CHRIDA Ministries in Liberia held at the CHRIDA House of Testimony in Zubah Town, yesterday, October 6, 2024, drew a large number of enthusiastic members to honor the church’s inspiring journey.
This year’s historic and well-attended anniversary is being celebrated under the theme: “2024 Our Year of Kingdom Expansion and Unity,” and with texts taken from: Genesis 11:5-6 and Acts 2:40-47.
Throughout the celebration, the accomplishments of CHRIDA Ministries were also highlighted through a series of captivating activities intended to sustain unity in the church.
The anniversary celebration also provided an opportune moment for CHRIDA Ministries’ members to reconnect and strengthen their bonds of fellowship, as the atmosphere was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and optimism.
The Ministries also recognized the invaluable contributions of church workers, pastors, and all those who, one way or the other, have supported the vision and aspiration of the Church since its establishment.
Those individuals were applauded for their collaborative efforts that have bolstered the church’s mission and expanded its impact across some counties in Liberia, including other countries in Africa and the U.S.
Delivering the anniversary’s message, the Ministries’ General Overseer (GO), Aloysius W. Kpadeh, urged all Chridians to rise and shine for the time has come for God is about to and has already begun doing a meticulous thing in their individual lives.
Rev. Kpadeh pleaded with members to portray a sense of “unity, faith, love, and one mind,” ensuring a collective responsibility to work together towards a common goal as they commemorate the church’s anniversary.
Preaching from the book of Philippians 1:27, the CHRIDA GO asserted, “It is time that we unite, show love through our faith with a sense of one mind, standing fast in our spirit, ensuring that all Chridians know and understand the word of God for their salvation.”
“Because what moves God is a church of unity, love, togetherness, and one mind as this has been the cornerstone of CHRIDA Ministries since its inception; every member needs to continue to portray this principle in every aspect of his/her life.
I urged all of you Chridians to see CHRIDA as one family; no competition should be among us as Christians because you can’t say you love a brother and not speak to him or run a competition with him, this is not of CHRIDA,” he admonished.
Rev. Kpadeh also highlighted the true vision of the church which has been its unity, one mind, sense of togetherness and love, and noted, “God doesn’t need anyone’s approval to bless you as such, stay away from gossip, jealousy, and hatred against others.”
He further called on all members to value their fellow brothers and sisters because they all were made in the same image of God’s likeness, adding, “Let’s us trust in what we know and not what we see or hear.”
“So, as we commemorate this 34th anniversary, let’s all continue to uphold the spirit and legacy of this Ministry’s vision bearers by reaching out to others, preaching the gospel, and ensuring that all members support the vision and Mission of CHRIDA,” he said.
Earlier, the Assemblies’ General Secretary, Pastor Michael K. Kolee, disclosed that CHRIDA was founded years back in Ghana by some Liberian refugees who sought safety during the civil war in Liberia.
