Bettomax Donates US$15,000 To Watanga

Bettomax Liberia has announced a partnership with 1st Division side, Watanga FC, on the eve of their CAF Confederations Cup first leg clash with Malian side, Stade de Malien, in a deal worth USD 15,000.00.
Commercial Manager, Fallah Braima, presented the symbolic check to the club’s hierarchy through its Secretary General, Emmanuel Solo, at a very brief ceremony held at Bettomax’s 3rd Street facility in Sinkor, on Tuesday, August 15.
‘’Today we’re just doing a little donation to Watanga FC, one of our local partners. You are aware Watanga are Liberia’s representatives in the CAF Confederations Cup this year and on Sunday [20 August], they are up against their Malian counterparts.
‘’We know how things are financially tough with our local clubs and we see this as our way of contributing. Bettomax Liberia has seen it meaningful to stretch out a hand with a small token,’’ Fallah Braima said.
Receiving the check, Secretary General Emmanuel Solo said the donation was ‘’unprecedented and a big boost’’ to the club, on the back of an ambitious journey in Africa.
‘’For and on behalf of the Watanga Football Club family and in my capacity as Secretary General, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Bettomax family. This is unprecedented and we will like to acknowledge that this is a big boost to our resource mobilization for the CAF preliminary qualifiers,’’ Solo emphasized.
Meanwhile, the club presented a signed shirt to the gaming company, symbolizing the beginning of their partnership.
Commercial Manager Fallah Braima was thrilled and said the move by Bettomax will not be the last.
‘’In response to that and on behalf of the management and staff of Bettomax Liberia, we’re making a donation of 15 Thousand USD and a solid promise that this will not be the last in associating with sporting events across Liberia,’’ Braima added.
Watanga, who finished second in the Orange Cup last season to league and cup winners, LISCR, take on Stade de Malien this Sunday, 20 August at the SKD, in the first leg of their CAF Confederations Cup.
The club have been leveraging support, following their recent exploits in the Liberian top flight league, which have earned them back-to-back representations in African club competitions.
