UBCAA Launches Multipurpose Resource Center

The United Bong County Association in the Americas (UBCAA) made history as it hosted the Inaugural Ceremony of its newly elected leadership alongside the official launch of the UBCAA Multipurpose Resource Center at the Coon Rapids Civic Center.
The event brought together leaders, partners, and community members committed to advancing development in Bong County, Liberia.
In his inaugural address, National president Caimon Joe Gbamokollie outlined his ambitious vision for the organization, emphasizing the importance of the UBCAA Multipurpose Resource Center—a US$1 million project designed to create sustainable opportunities for future generations.
“We must rally our resources, ideas, and collective strength to bring this vision to fruition,” president Gbamokollie urged.
He assured that under his leadership, UBCAA would work tirelessly to establish the resource center as a lasting legacy for Bong County.
Beyond fundraising efforts, president Gbamokollie addressed the need for unity and accountability among Bong County citizens and political leaders.
He called for an end to unnecessary divisions and encouraged voters to elect responsible leaders rather than settling for short-term gains.
“Elect the right people and hold them accountable. Let’s reject the politics of tokenism, where a few benefit while the majority suffers,” he emphasized.
He further urged elected officials to put aside personal and political differences, prioritizing development in infrastructure, agriculture, education, and healthcare.
In a heartfelt moment, president Gbamokollie shared his personal journey from walking barefoot in the villages of Bong County to leading UBCAA.
“To the children in the villages who walk barefoot, your struggles today do not define your future. Keep believing. To the single mothers, you are the strength of our communities. You are not alone. To the young men working hard, your hustle is honorable—keep striving,” he said passionately.
The ceremony honored individuals who have played significant roles in UBCAA’s growth.
He expressed gratitude to the Bong County Legislative Caucus, Superintendent, and county leaders for their collaboration with UBCAA.
He also acknowledged the efforts of Philip Singbeh and Nuwoe Kellen in launching UBCAA programs in Liberia, along with Reuben Dolo and the current UBCAA Liberia Program team.
A special tribute was paid to Leo Mulbah, UBCAA’s Chief of Operations, for his selfless dedication to the organization.
A major highlight of the evening was the fundraising launch for the UBCAA Multipurpose Resource Center, which received overwhelming support.
Chief Launchers Daniel Brewer and Molly Kamara, represented by Garretson Nyeneah, led the effort, raising an impressive US$43,000—marking a significant step toward the US$1 million goal.
During the ceremony, UBCAA’s newly elected officers were officially sworn into office by installing officer Sizi Goyah, Director of Mathematics at Minneapolis Public Schools.
“It is a privilege to serve as your installing officer for this momentous occasion. Tonight, we honor the dedication and vision of our elected officers,” Goyah stated.
The newly elected UBCAA leadership includes: Caimon Joe Gbamokollie – National president, Emmanuel Kolleh – National Vice president, Peter Juasemai – National Secretary.
Others include: Trobel Garsinii – National Treasurer, Jen Emmanuel Ngwayah – National Financial Secretary, Mark Mikely – National Assistant Secretary, Pst. Luther Harmon – National Chaplain (in absentia).
The presence of UBCAA Queen Madam Verlyn Freeman Dean and several UBCAA Chapter presidents, including Madam Rose Cooper (Kentucky), Chester M. Sackie, Sr. (Minnesota), Bishop Mango Weni (Indiana), and James Mator (Iowa), added to the significance of the occasion.
Representatives from Nimba and Lofa County organizations also attended in solidarity.
President Gbamokollie extended heartfelt gratitude to past and present UBCAA leaders, chapter leaders, and members for their dedication to the organization’s mission.
He also recognized community partners, including the Bong County Women’s Organization, for their ongoing contributions.
In closing, he acknowledged his wife, Leonora Gbamokollie (First Lady of UBCAA), his daughter, Rowina, and his entire family for their unwavering support in his leadership journey.
UBCAA extends sincere appreciation to all attendees, donors, volunteers, and well-wishers who made this event a resounding success
