Bong County Senator Johnny Kpehe has again donated a huge consignment of assorted medical supplies to the Bong County Health Team (BCHT) for onward distribution to health facilities across the county.
The cost of the supplies, including shipment, is estimated over US$100,000, courtesy of a joint effort of Sen. Kpehe and Sen. Saah Joseph of Montserrado County.
The Chief of Office Staff in the offices of Senator Kpehe, Gondai K. Seton, made the donation on behalf of his boss and stated that the donation was part of efforts by Senator Kpehe to ensure that his people have access to quality healthcare services.
He said the donation of the medical supplies marks the fourth time Sen. Kpehe has donated to the County Health Team in just the first full year of his tenure.
Taking delivery of the supplies, the Administrator of the County Health Team, Sam Siakor, and the County Health Officer, Dr. Jefferson Sibley, commended the office of the Senator for always seeking the health needs of his people.
The two officials hailed Senator Kpehe for his continuous contributions to the County Health Team; while encouraging him to continue his good work.
They assured him that the medical supplies received would be properly distributed to various health facilities across the county.
The duo said the supplies are instrumental in providing necessary healthcare services to the people of Bong County.
“We are grateful for his support and contribution towards improving the healthcare system in our county,” Sam Siakor and Dr. Jefferson Sibley said, “With these supplies, we will be able to better serve our patients and provide them with the care they deserve.”
The Bong County Senator Chief of Office Staff made the presentation on February 3, 2025 at his Gbarnga Office in the presence of some officials of the County Health Team.
