KCC Trains Over 25 City Police Officers

The Kakata City Corporation (KCC) under the leadership of its Mayor, Rev. Gbarngawoe E. Seyboe has initiated a two-week intensive training workshop for more than 25 officers of the Kakata City Police Department.
The program which began on March 17, 2025, and will be concluded on April 2, 2025, is aimed at enhancing the capacities and knowledge of the city police, and to enable them perform their duties effectively aligning with local laws and global best practices.
Facilitated by experienced professionals from the Liberia National Police and the Armed Forces of Liberia, the initiative is the first major training workshop organized by a city mayor in Kakata for over several years.
Announced by Mayor Seyboe, the training is designed to improve officers’ skills in key areas such as discipline and courtesy in policing, police professionalism and ethics, introduction to criminal investigation, observation and description techniques, city ordinance enforcement, crime scene management, and community engagement and public safety respectively.
The City Mayor added that the primary goal of the training is to equip the officers with the tools and understanding necessary to effectively serve the community while adhering to local laws and global best practices.
Mayor Seyboe emphasized the importance of professionalism and ethical conduct in policing, encouraging all officers to actively participate in this vital training which, according to him, presents an excellent opportunity to enhance their skills, and share knowledge.
He concluded that the training workshop is part of a broader strategy to build trust and effectiveness within the policing community, ensuring that officers are well- prepared to face modern policing challenges.
