In Bong: 2 Officials Break Grounds For 30,000 Multipurpose Youth Center

Bong County Senator Prince Kermue Moye in collaboration with the Deputy Minister for Administration at the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning, Bill McGill Jones, has broken grounds for the construction of a modern multipurpose Hall to be used by the youth, women, elders, and people of Sergeant Kollie Town (SKT), Suakoko District 5. Bill McGill Jones, said the project is part of their commitment to place development initiatives at the core of their engagements over politics. Minister Jones extended commendations to residents of SKT for the level of cooperation towards the project.
As a native of SKT, Minister Jones said the Hall will provide a comfortable sitting capacity for inhabitants and part of adjacent communities.
He called on citizens of SKT and Bong County at Large to not politicize the multipurpose hall gesture and said the construction of the hall is not meant for political benefits.
Addressing the gathering, Senator Prince Kermue Moye hailed the citizens of SKT for their continued cooperation towards the Multipurpose Town Hall construction.
The Bong County Senator further called on citizens of the county to not politicize his kind gesture to the people of Sergeant Kollie Town.
The senator, at the same time, called on the citizens to embrace development across the county as a hallmark of changing the narratives in the county.
Moreover, Senator Moye told the citizens that he will continue to work with various Ministers and Directors from Bong County who are working in the current government for the overall development of the county, and the country at large.
The Bong County Senator vowed to remain committed to serving the people of Bong County, adding that President Joseph Boakai ‘s Arrest Agenda for Inclusive Development (AAID) will succeed.
Additionally, Bong County Senator Prince K. Moye and his wife, Nancy Moye, used the occasion to donate LR$1.5 Million to local marketers in Sergeant Kollie Town, Suakoko District 5.
The couple said the money is intended to empower the local marketers in the county.
Meanwhile, the local marketers lauded the Bong County Senator and his wife for the donation. They revealed that the money donated will help boost their businesses.
Remarking at the occasion, Anthony Kollie, youth president of SKT, lauded Senator Prince Kermue Moye and Deputy Minister Bill McGill Jones for breaking grounds for the construction of a Multipurpose Hall.
He described the groundbreaking for the Multipurpose Hall as a dream to be fulfilled in the area.
When completed, the Multipurpose Hall will contain conference halls, six segmented bathrooms, offices, and a cafeteria.
The estimated cost of the project is placed at over US$30,000.00 in the United States.
For over Fifty years, residents of Sergeant Kollie Town are expected to benefit from a modern Multipurpose Town Hall in the central region of Liberia.
The ceremony which was held on March 9, 2025, was attended by several high profile officials of government including ministers and directors who hail from Bong County.
