The Embassy of Liberia in Abuja announces the arrival of Sylvester Grigsby, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, who is to participate in the highly anticipated launch event of the African Trade Center under the African Export-Import Bank (AFREXIMBANK).
The launch event, scheduled for Thursday , April 10, 2025, represents a significant milestone in promoting intra-African trade and investment, and aligns with Liberia’s commitment to fostering economic collaboration and enhancing trade opportunities across the continent.
The AATC is an iconic and futuristic edifice developed as part of the Bank’s effort to bridge the trade information gap in Africa and improve intra-African trade.
It is a business complex that would house the bank’s regional office, a conference facility, a tech and SME incubation hub, a digital trade Gateway, a hotel and a trade and exhibition center, among others.
Minister Grigsby will engage with various stakeholders, including government officials, business leaders, and representatives from financial institutions, to discuss Liberia’s strategic role in the African trade landscape and explore avenues for increased cooperation within the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
