Global Outreach Ministry Donates To Group Of 77

The Global Outreach Ministry has donated assorted food and non-food items to the Group of 77, an organization supporting people living with disabilities in Liberia.
The donation, which was made on Wednesday, March 12, at the organization’s headquarters on Newport Street, included adjustable wheeled commode, crutches, toiletries, walkers, wheelchairs, clothing, and food items particularly pinto beans and oil.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Dr. James T. Yarsiah, a U.S.-based clergy, stated that this marks the tenth container sent to Liberia since he and his wife, Ophelia Yarsiah, established the Global Outreach Ministry in 2006.
According to him, the initiative is an expression of Christian love and a commitment to the Great Commission, as stated in Matthew 28:19-20: “Go ye into all the world and make disciples.” He added that the donation aims to support Liberia’s most vulnerable groups, particularly people living with disabilities.
Dr. Yarsiah also recounted his past involvement with Trinity Cathedral in Monrovia, where he participated in a feeding program for the underprivileged. He emphasized that the donated items were not intended for personal gain but for broad distribution at the discretion of local institutions.
“My church and I believe that the best way to give is to serve those who need help the most. People who may not be as fortunate as we are. We do this not for recognition, but because Jesus taught us to care for the hungry, the sick, and the needy. We hope these supplies will strengthen the Group of 77 and other institutions that provide care to those in need,” he added.
He further pledged to continue seeking support for Liberia, ensuring that churches, schools, and vulnerable groups receive the assistance they need.
Representatives of beneficiary institutions expressed deep gratitude for the donations, describing them as timely and impactful.
“These materials are arriving at a crucial time and will go a long way in supporting our work,” one representative said.
The arrival of this container underscores the ongoing commitment of the Global Outreach Ministry to Liberia and reaffirms the power of faith-based humanitarian efforts in transforming lives.
