The office of Clarence Gahr has stepped forward to assist victims of a devastating fire that occurred in February 2025.
The disaster struck German Camp Junction, located in the Weala Community of Margibi County, leaving two of its residents in dire need of support.

As part of the initial response to this tragedy, Miss Dwalue received L$85,000 while Madam Korsor received L$65,000, bringing the total financial assistance to L$150,000 aimed at helping these families rebuild their lives.
Beyond this assistance, Rep. Gahr provided a total of over L$350,000 in support funds for various initiatives within the district.
This includes a dedicated L$100,000 contribution to the Student Council Government of John Wesley United Methodist High School, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for local students.
The funding will also provide empowerment packages to several prominent business figures in the district as part of an effort to stimulate local economic growth and development.
In a statement regarding his commitment to the community, a staffer of Rep. Gahr, Nelson Tamba Walker, emphasized the lawmaker’s dedication to remaining engaged with constituents and offering support in any form necessary.
The well-being and development of District 5 is the utmost priority of Gahr, and he will continue to advocate for the needs of our community.
