Nimba’s by-election senatorial candidate Wonokay Farngalo has disclosed a plan to construct a modern magisterial court in Camp Four, Yekepa , Nimba County.
Speaking to The Inquirer in Tappita, Fangalo frowned at the county’s leadership for their alleged failure to construct a modern court for the residents in the concessional town of Yekepa.
According to Farngalo, the entire building lies in ruins which is concerning to the residents in the county.
“Court interprets the law. Yekepa is the operational site for ArcelorMittal steel company, why the company cannot build a modern court that will represent the government or the company,” Wonokay wondered .
” I toured the entire district during my campaign and I was disappointed to see Yekepa. In 1977, Yekepa, which was among beautiful cities in Liberia, has now turned into bushes under the watchful eyes of ArcelorMittal steel management ,” he explained.
Fangalo furthered that if elected, he will transform the House of Senate to be accountable to the citizens they represent.
Nimbaians are today, April 22, 2025, headed to the polls to elect a new senator among the seven registered senatorial Candidates in the race.
In a related development, Police IG Coleman has issued warning to all residents and senatorial candidates vying for the senatorial seat to remain law abiding and do away with election related violence.
The police IG made the statement to a team of reporters at the Gompa police station in Nimba.
