Cohort 7 Scholars Donate To Research Institute

The Cohort 7 Scholars have presented a giant flat screen television to the Research Institute for Innovation (RII) in a significant move of support for education and research studies for college students in Liberia.
The donation, made during a ceremony recently, also aims to enhance the learning environment and facilitate innovative research initiatives, thus witnessing a host of individuals including members of Cohort 7 and alumni of the Research Institute.
The presentation of the giant size flat screen TV was also part of efforts by the cohort 7 scholars to help the Research Institute for Innovation (RII) to tackle some of the challenges faced in research and Innovation.
Christina Blama-Hessou, joining the Director of Research and Innovation of the AME University, Abraham Julian Wennah, in cutting the ribbons to the magnificent television said, “This television is not just a screen, but a tool that we hope will serve students and faculty for years to come.”
“Through our journey, we understood firsthand how important it is to have the right tools to support learning, collaboration and communication,” Blama- Hessou recounted as she delivered a speech marking the formal turnover of the flat screen TV.
She further disclosed that the project leading to the purchase of the TV for the Research Institute started with a simple idea that spurred conversations around how the scholars could contribute something meaningful to help improve the learning experience for future scholars.
She maintained, “We as, Batch 7 scholars, decided to take on an initiative to provide a resource that will enhance research presentations, facilitate academic discussions and ensure better access to institutional updates and events.”
Madam Blama- Hessou, at the same time highlighted the significance of their gesture, and praised the administration of the AME University, the leadership and staff of the Research Institute for their unwavering commitment to the promotion of a culture of academic excellence.
In remarks, the Director of the Research Institute, Abraham Julian Wennah, thanked scholars of Cohort 7 for the donation, thereby describing it as a meaningful contribution to the work of the institution.
Director Wennah also noted that the donation was a big step towards the technological advancement of the Research Institute, and added, “This is a huge gift to our research community.”
