Coach Otis Tarnue Rejoins Muscat FC

The former Grand head coach and Margibi County deputy coach Otis Tarnue on Friday, March10, 2023 officially rejoined the Paynesville outfit Club MUSCAT FC Orange National League-1st Division outfit Club MUSCAT FC.

Coach Tarnue was dismissed from Tony FC in the early stage of the second phase of the Orange National League-2nd Division by the Margibi County outfit club month or months ago after Coach Wattala Moore of New Horizon Football Academy replaced him (Coach Tarnue).

The deputy coach of Lofa County Coach Tarnue’s announcement was made minutes on the official Facebook page of the Paynesville outfit club MUSCAT FC on Friday, 10 March.

Coach Tarnue did not win any major trophy with his former employer Tony FC but will forever be remembered in the club’s history by going to the club’s ever first major final in a  major competition in Liberia.

Coach Tarnue guided Tony FC to the first major final of the 2021-2022 Petro Trade Cup where Tony FC lost to penalty shootouts to top-tier LISCR FC after coming from a goal down twice at the SKD PP in Paynesville with the full-time ending in a two-all draw.

MUSCAT FC did not mention Coach Tarnue’s specific role but said the former trainer Coach is expected to work alongside Coach Ansumana in a team headed by Coach Thomas Kojo as Technical Head.

 Here is the full statement from MUSCAT FC: “We can confirm that coach Otis Tarnue is back home. Tarnue last worked with Muscat back in 2016 as a trainer under then, Robert Lartey. He will be with us till the rest of the season with an option to continue,” the statement expressed.
