The Kakata City Corporation (KCC) has officially launched a new ticketing system in collaboration with Green Hygiene Services.
This strategic move to tackle traffic congestion and cleanliness challenges in the City of Kakata is aimed at improving the overall experience for both residents and visitors.
It was announced on Tuesday by the Public Relations Officer of the Kakata City Corporation, Philip D. Gbana.
Green Hygiene Services, a proud Liberian-owned enterprise, is at the forefront of this initiative, which is part of a broader effort to implement comprehensive cleaning and traffic management solutions in the city.
According to Gbana, the newly introduced ticketing system will allow vehicle owners and local businesses to access Main Street during designated time slots, helping to streamline traffic flow and alleviate parking difficulties that have plagued the area.
He highlighted that this system comes in direct response to numerous complaints regarding insufficient parking spaces for passing vehicles, particularly after recent decongestion measures were put into place.
The KCC’s Public Relations Officer added that by regulating access, the ticketing system is expected to not only reduce congestion but also contribute to a cleaner environment along one of Kakata’s busiest streets.
“This initiative aligns with international best practices in urban traffic management and is designed to enhance the quality of life in our community. We believe that with the cooperation of our residents, we can create a more organized and pleasant atmosphere in Kakata City,” the KCC’s spokesperson stated.
He explained that to facilitate this transition, agents and staff from the KCC will be stationed along the Main Street to assist drivers and business personnel in navigating the new system.
Gbana continued that their presence is crucial in ensuring compliance and providing guidance as the community adapts to these changes.
He mentioned that in addition to traffic management, community engagement is a key component of this initiative thereby encouraging residents to interact with the agents who will also be involved in waste collection efforts across various neighborhoods.
Gbana said the goal is to foster a collaborative environment where everyone plays a role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of Kakata City.
As this new ticketing system rolls out, city officials expressed gratitude to the community for their support and cooperation.
Philip D. Gbana: “Together, we can make Kakata City cleaner and more efficient, enhancing the quality of life for all its inhabitants.
The Kakata City Corporation and Green Hygiene Services are optimistic that this initiative will yield positive results, paving the way for a more sustainable and enjoyable urban experience for everyone in Kakata City.
