Bong County Electoral District 1 Representative Prince K. Koinah, in partnership with Senator Johnny Kpehe, has broken ground for the rehabilitation of feeder roads across District 1.
Representative Koinah explained that the initiative is a joint effort with Senator Kpehe.
The rehabilitation is targeting major routes, including Tuankan Town to Botota in Tukpablee, Botota to Gbarta in Boinsein, Rock Crusher to Benajorproi Town in Kokoyah, and Gbecon to Kilikpala Town.
The motor-grader is expected to remain in the district for a period of sixty days to enable maximum feeder road pavement. Rep Koinah has, however, vowed to complete the rehabilitation works from Gbenequelleh in electoral District 2 to Tuankan Town.
The exercise, when completed, will serve as a major relief for marketeers and pedestrians to access easy transportation as the rainy season approaches.
For his part, Senator Kpehe expressed optimism in enhancing the developmental agenda of the county.
He urged District 1 residents to prioritize development while reassuring the gathering of his continuous support aimed at making Bong County better.
The youthful senator praised Representative Koinah for his cordial working relationship, terming him as a long-time partner.
The groundbreaking ceremony held in Tuankan Town Tukpablee Administrative District on March 16, 2025, brought together a mammoth crowd of jubilant district residents, including government officials, local chiefs, elders, women’s groups, and the youthful populace.
Simultaneously, ArcelorMittal, through the partnership of the Bong county legislative caucus, has, for the first time over a decade, commenced the rehabilitation of the LAMCO camp to St. John road- a major pathway for economic viability.
