President Joseph Boakai has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to upholding the rule of law and fostering a just society, pledging to work alongside the Liberian National Bar Association (LNBA) to strengthen democratic institutions and ensure equal justice for all.

Speaking at the induction ceremony of the newly elected LNBA officers in Monrovia,  President Boakai congratulated LNBA’s president Bornor M. Varmah and his executive team highlighting the crucial role of the Bar in safeguarding democracy.

He emphasized the need for legal practitioners to remain professional, ethical, and independent in their service to Liberia.

“The rule of law is the foundation of any stable and civilized society, Without it, justice falters, and the dreams of our people fizzle and fade away,” he said.

He assured the legal community that his administration is committed to actively collaborating with the Bar to strengthen Liberia’s legal and democratic institutions.

He emphasized that justice must be accessible to all, regardless of social or economic status.

The Liberian Chief Executive urged the LNBA to maintain its independence, rise above partisan politics, and serve as a pillar of accountability and transparency in national governance.

He further encouraged legal practitioners to focus on enhancing legal education, promoting good governance, and ensuring fair treatment of all citizens under the law.

The event was attended by members of the judiciary, the National Legislature, the diplomatic corps, legal practitioners, and other distinguished guests.

The ceremony marked a significant moment for Liberia’s legal community, reinforcing the importance of the Bar in national development.

President Boakai concluded by pledging his administration’s commitment to working hand-in- hand with the LNBA to uphold justice, equality, and the rule of law in Liberia.
