Three business centers have been burned down in the commercial city of Ganta, thereby creating uncertainty among business owners.
The business centers situated along the main street at the Guinea road junction were gutted on Sunday morning around 1:30 and according to eyewitnesses, the fire destroyed a household utensils store, a Rico Product distributor center and a building material store, respectively.
Speaking to this paper, businessman William Beah explained that they saw heavy smoke coming from the store operated by one Madam Felicia Yormie which later spread to adjacent stores around the old Ecobank building.
Businessman Beah said the incident is rare in Ganta for several business centers to get damaged by fire at once, therefore, it needs serious investigation as to whether it was an accident or a sabotage.
Meanwhile, upon hearing the news and visiting the site, the Liberian business community closed all business centers in solidarity with those affected by the fire disaster in the city.
When this paper contacted the Liberian business community Chairperson, Gausiboy Malison, he explained that the cause of the fire has not been established while the Liberia National Police Station has made no arrest as the Liberia Fire Service is said to carrying out its investigation to establish the cause of the fire.
