The Liberia Institute of Public Administration (LIPA) is expected to begin the Professional Development Series Training Program earmarked for senior government employees.
LIPA’s Director General said they are working with the Civil Service Agency to train senior staff of all Ministries and Agencies of Government and that the training will cover the following areas including supervisory, customer service, leadership, integrity, professionalism and good English.
Yonly also stated that LIPA will be transitioning from Monrovia to its Domah’s Town Complex beginning the next training cycle which commences in July, 2021 and noted, “At the next training cycle that is to start in July, we are going to transfer all diploma courses there, while we work to gradually transition from Monrovia to Domah’s Town.”
He further stated that the Senior Management Team wants to make LIPA a viable institution in the Republic; by doing this he said the introduction of the E-Learning Platform and E-Library are already up and running.
The LIPA boss who spoke over the weekend at LIPA’s Mamba Point offices during an indoor program marking the 52nd anniversary celebration of the institute emphasized the need for capacity building internally and externally with the help of the management.
He commended the Senior Management Team which include his three deputies and the general staff for their commitment over the last year and also urged them to be more vigorous as they move forward.
Meanwhile, over 10 staff were awarded certificates of recognition and appreciation for their commitment and hard work.
The Liberia Institute of public Administration was established by an Act of the National Legislature in 1969 with the mandate of conducting training, research and consultancy.
