The Memorial Of Jesus Death Gives People Real Hope

Why did one old blind man with a stick called Corporal walk seven miles, cross a river and then over a damaged wooden bridge? “I came to hear about Jesus” he told a young Jehovah’s Witness.

Corporal is not the only person who made huge sacrifices to hear this special message of hope and encouragement. Last year, a combined total of 27,407 attended this special yearly event in Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.

This time of the year in many places all over the world, Jehovah’s Witnesses can meet together to remember Jesus death and to show they highly appreciate his sacrifice in mankind’s behalf, Matthew 20:28.

They can do this because Jesus told his followers: “Keep doing this in remembrance of me.” Luke 22:19. Jesus started this special observance after sundown on Nisan 14, 33 C.E., according to the Bible’s calendar. The Memorial of Jesus’ death was observed once each year by the early Christians and Jehovah’s Witnesses follow that Bible-based pattern.

The next time Jehovah’s Witnesses will have this meeting will be on Saturday, March 27, 2021. They want you to please join them for this special meeting. This free one-hour program explains how Jesus death opened the way to everlasting life, and who can benefit from his loving sacrifice.

Just like their other meetings, anybody can join. Because the COVID-19 sickness is still spreading, Jehovah’s Witnesses will have this program on the internet. You can use your phone, tablet and computer to connect. To learn more about how to attend locally, ask one of Jehovah’s Witnesses or visit our website www.jw.org.

You will not pay any extra money to join and Jehovah’s Witnesses will not collect any money from people who join the program. Jehovah’s Witnesses invite anyone searching for peace, security, comfort and hope to attend. The Memorial of Jesus Christ’s death will show people how they can obtain something valuable that will make their lives better, not only now, but also in the future, even forever.
