The World Resurrection Ministries International in Collaboration with the Body of Christ in Liberia is today expected to host an event dubbed “Glory Night” from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium (ATS) in Monrovia. It is being held under the theme “The One Night That Solves Everything.”
Church Leaders expected to speak are Archbishop Isaac Winker, Evang. Christian Dagadu, Bishop George Harris, Bishop James Smith, Apostle Samuel Carr and Bishop Allen Kleyee. Others are Bishop John Kunkun, Evangelist Paye Bagnon, Bishop M. Wolo Belleh, Amb. Sammy David and Bishop Solomon Faraj (USA).
The Bishop of the World Resurrection Ministries International for the Ministry, Francis Thomas told this paper yesterday that it is a yearly program and that about 100 pastors are expected to attend. The objective of the program is to gather all the churches and the pastors in the country to pray for the betterment of the country.
According to him this is the fifth edition and it is geared towards praying for the nation to help prepare the nation every year and to also provide an opportunity to unite the body of Christ in order for the country to stay together and have focus.
Giving an overview of the World Resurrection Ministries International Church, Bishop Francis Thomas said that the Church came into existence in 1992 and by then their focus was on getting kids that were involved in alcoholic and drug addiction coupled with prostitution.
“When we established the church we noticed that the kids were roaming the streets doing all sorts of criminal acts, so we decided to speak to them and tell them more about the Gospel of Christ; we experienced thousands of drug dealers who we talked to and had since been converted to Christianity and even some are now Bishops and wonderful business people, “he explained.
He explained that where the church is now situated used to be the worst “Ghetto” on Gurley Street and the first table he ever preached on was a place where someone had just smoked from because one could still see the drugs and cigarette jots on the table.
Meanwhile Bishop Thomas has invited everyone to be at the program because 2 Chronicles says “if my people which are called by my name shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
