The Director for the Juah Sarwee Memorial Welfare, Robert B. Teah recently donated 284 pieces of uniforms to the students of the Point- Four Elementary School in New Kru Town in order for them to be appropriately uniformed as their colleagues.
Speaking during the donation, Mr. Teah said that was just the first phase because there are still more students who also need such uniforms and as a result of that he is still sewing over 300 more pieces of uniforms for them.
According to him there are about four more public schools that he is targeting for donation and he is doing this because the Government cannot do all for the students.
Mr. Teah explained that he visited so many Government schools in New Kru Town and while carrying out some assessments, he realized that most students do not have uniforms so he took the initiative to donate to them.
“This is a self initiative project which I decided to do and the cost analysis for this project is LD140, 000 and I am very proud of myself taking such task because these children are our future leaders, “Mr. Teah narrated.
Meanwhile the Principal for the Point Four Elementary School, Jarcatus Nyan has appreciated Mr.Teah for his good gesture by providing uniforms for needy students.
According to him since their school resumed, about 100 students have not been able to get uniforms because their parents can hardly afford them.
However he is appealing to the parents of the beneficiaries to take good care of the uniforms so that they can last longer.
