Then Freedom Christian Fellowship Ministries International has officially ordained five of its members as pastors with the mandate of assisting with the operations, growth and maintenance of the Ministries.
Those ordained pastors are; David S. Dokie; Frank S. Suku; Gonkarnue Bioah; Darius B. Johns and Majenneh N. Suku.
The ordination took place Sunday, January 10, in the edifice of the church in Zubah Town, Du-port Road, Paynesville Liberia in observance of the Church’s 21st anniversary celebration.
Encouraging the newly ordained pastors, the founder and senior pastor of the Freedom Christian Fellowship Ministries, Bishop Dr. Pah K. Suku Sr. cautioned the ministers of the gospel to work harder in preaching the gospel to Liberians across the country.
Bishop Suku stressed that nowadays Christians are living in abject poverty due to their failure to work harder as well as their failure to hold back from spending wastefully, noting, “Work kills poverty.”
According to him, it has been 50 years since he got to know the Lord and since then, he has been a blessing to several Liberians through the help of God, indicating that when one believes in God, he will use the Holy Spirit to open various doors in abundance.
He added, “Be careful because there are fake pastors and bishop nowadays. Today, you have been ordained; please utilize your gifts in making sure that then church grows even after I am dead and gone for good.”
“Be selfless and preach the gospel to the fullest throughout the nation without fear or favor. Pastors do not rush for money but for the Lord’s lost sheep. Be courageous, determine and focus as you go about winning souls for our Creator as there will be some troubling times during your endeavor,” Bishop. Dr. Suku admonished.
He however bragged of being the first bishop to refuse salary from a church since the establishment of his Ministry, adding, “The church and its people need to grow. So I have no pleasure in taking salary at the expense of the church and its members who are already struggling.”
Reading the history of the church earlier, one of the newly ordained pastors, Frank Suku stated that the Freedom Ministries was established in the United States of America on January 9, 2000 by Bishop Dr. Pah Karpeh Suku, Sr. who was led by the Holy Spirit, and three years later, they were also led by the Holy Spirit to establish a branch in Liberia on October 23, 2003.
According to him, the dream and vision of the church is to establish branches in every county in Liberia as well as throughout the world, adding, “In accordance with Luke 14:28-30, we have also been planning and hoping that by the end of the year, the multipurpose building will be completed and we will then start to train new ministers, pastors, bishops, prophets, evangelists, apostles and teachers so that the church is properly equipped.
Meanwhile, the ordained pastors lauded their bishop for the teachings and mentorship he continues to provide thereby promising to work tirelessly in ensuring that the dreams and aspirations of the church in preaching the gospel throughout the country are actualized.
