The proprietor of E-World Enterprise, Mr. Peter Ekwueme, a mobile phone dealer on Gurley Skeet, is commending the Weah-led government for the opportunity for foreigners to do business in Liberia.
He said the gesture by the government should be welcomed and appreciated by all foreigners doing business in the country.
Mr. Ekwueme recommended that national government should put measure in place that will attract more investors to come and do business in Liberia.
Mr. Ekwueme said that the taxes imposed on various businesses is so high and discouraging and have the propensity of scaring away investors and could lead to businesses to shut down due to the lack of real profit making.
He is therefore calling on the government to consider the 10% imposed on business.
Mr. Ekwueme made the recommendations during a press interview when he received a certificate of recognition from a pro-democracy group in consideration and appreciation of his continuous support towards government’s Pro-Poor Agenda for Prosperity and Development (PAPD) and the economic growth of the state and most importantly in the communication sector.
Meanwhile, Mr. Ekwueme is commending President George Manneh Weah for the effective and able-manner in which he is moving the country forward.
