A 30-year old man was recently nabbed by the Liberia National Police (LNP) for an alleged armed robbery in the commercial city of Ganta, in Nimba County.

Gaye Sr. The suspect, Tamba Fallah, who is currently detained, is reported according to the Ganta Police Station, Chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CSD) Redeemer Toe, Tamba stole Albert Cooper’s TVS red motorbike on September 18, 2020 while riding with him to Sanniquellie at about 8: 00 p.m. on September 18, 2020.
According to CSD Commander, Redeemer Toe, suspect Tamba Fallah, is on record for being a notorious criminal who usually lives by stealing motorbikes, especially in Ganta city for commercial purpose.
The Liberia National Police added that Tamba Fallah admitted during a preliminary investigation of stealing the TVS motorbike from motorcyclist Albert Cooper and sold it to a man believed to be a business man in Monrovia and later returned to Ganta on his usual spree.
Redeemer Toe further revealed that suspect Tamba Fallah has been charged with armed robbery and is to be arraigned before the court for prosecution.
He said that two additional persons have been arrested by the Liberia National Police in Monrovia in connection to the case and will be sent to Nimba for investigation.
Since the beginning of August 2020, armed robbery reports, thefts and burglary coupled with other criminal offences are reportedly on the rise in Nimba and this is creating serious fear among the citizens in the county.
