The Destiny Helper Foundation (DHF), non-profit, non-governmental humanitarian organization has recently made a huge donation to the children of Trench Town.
Trench Town is a slum community which houses a considerable number of “zogoes” (less fortunate and disadvantaged individuals amongst whom the use of addictive drugs, stealing and other mayhems are prevalent).
Many less fortunate and disadvantaged children benefitted from the donation including clothes, shoes, toothpastes, toothbrushes amongst others.

Speaking to the children through a video call From USA, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the organization, Mr. Jacob Senyon Kwateh said though he is thousands of miles away from home but his love for the country remains alive and strong.
He noted further that the donation is the beginning of many good things to come as he is engaging other well-meaning Liberians abroad who have the desire to give to the needy or less fortunate.
After receiving the donation the children and their parents expressed joy for being the recipients of such philanthropic act and wished Mr. Kwateh and his team God’s bountiful blessing with longevity to do more.
DHF also made a stop at the Oldfolk Home on Front Street where they donated some assorted food items to augment the administration’s efforts as they cater to the elderly people.

Presenting the items, the DHF national Chairman, Pastor Emmanuel Pittman lauded the administration for their assiduous effort in taking care of the elderly.
He stressed DHF CEO Mr. Kwateh’s aspiration that there is a need for everybody to get involved in building the country again; noting that one of the ways Mr. Kwateh intends doing that is by identifying with many groups.
“One of the groups we have decided to identify with is the older people. These items were sent by the grace of God and we were able to identify your place and bring this little token of ours,” The DHF Chairman stated.
“We are in it together to make sure that whatever God has in stock for this place will successfully come to pass,” he added.

Upon receiving the donation, the coordinator of the Old Folk Home, Mr. Albert D. Scott Wholeheartedly welcomed the DHF team expressing his institution’s appreciation saying, “We are so much gratified to have you here for the mere fact that we have been included in your plans to benefit from this gesture.”
Mr. Scott said that old age is inevitable and regardless of a person’s status in society once he or she is old that person would one day need others to care for him or her as it is the case with those at the facility with various professional backgrounds.
