Ahead of the October 16 Campaign timeline, the Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) has openly endorsed the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction (MDR) Representative Jeremiah Kough as a candidate in the senatorial election in Nimba County.
The primary was witnessed by several top officials of government, including Post and Telecommunication Minister, Cooper Kruah, members of the ruling CDC as well as other lawmakers from Nimba County along with Senator Prince Yormie Johnson, standard bearer of the MDR.
Speaking to his kinsmen, Senator Johnson praised Representative Kough for his numerous and personal contributions toward developments in the areas of health, education and human resources in the county.
According to Senator Johnson, Representative Kough is among several lawmakers that are development oriented; recollecting how Kough single handedly built a modern 150-bed hospital, a modern annex for John Wesley Pearson Senior High School and John Wesley Pearson Extension Senior High School in Ganta as well as in other surrounding towns in the Bain-Garr District.
Representative Kough along with Taa Wongbe, Madam Edith Gongloe-Weh, Adolphus Dolo, Dorr Cooper and Garrison Yealue are those visibly campaigning to oust the incumbent senator, Thomas Grupee who is presently in the United States of America seeking medical attention.
