County Sitting Postponed In Sanniquellie

As the 2020 Council County sitting draws closer in Nimba County, Representative Johnson Gwaikolo has disclosed that the most talk about gathering scheduled to take place in Sanniquellie Mah has been postponed with immediate effect.
Representative Gwaikolo said though he regrets the postponement and action but it was based on the continuous increase in the cases of the coronavirus cases in the country.
The Council County Sitting which had been scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 4, in Sanniquellie Mah was intended to discuss issues of national concern paramount among them was the status of the yellow machines, the deplorable conditions of farm-to-market roads in the districts and other basic rights issues such as health and education.
Since the appointment of Superintendent Nelson Korquoi, this is the second time in less than three months that the special gathering that brings together members of the Traditional Chief Council, student unions from various universities and the local county authorities to discuss Arcellor Mittal Steel social development funds given to the county for developments.
Meanwhile, the new date set for the Council’s County sitting since its latest postponement is yet to be made known.
