Total Liberia, Sierra Leone Sold Out To Conex Oil & Gas

The Conex Oil and Gas Holdings Limited, a hundred percent Liberian-owned Company, has signed an agreement to buy the two leaders in the importing and marketing of petroleum products of the Total Group.
Conex’s involvement with Total Liberia and Total Sierra Leone will give the company the opportunity of becoming a market leader in the fuel marketing business in West Africa with specific emphasis on the Mano River Union.
Total Liberia and Total Sierra Leone are said to be leading vendors of fuel in the aviation industry in their respective countries via the industrial and wholesale channel under the trademark pertaining to the Total Group.
The Conex Oil and Gas Holdings Ltd. and Conex Petroleum Group emerged successful following a competitive bidding process with several international companies in accordance with Total Group’s rules and standards for which its CEO and Chairperson is pleased and hopes that other Liberians will be motivated and encouraged on this achievement.
“It is time for the locals to actively participate in their economies and develop the private sector. We are excited about the expansion of Conex throughout these countries because this will create jobs and promote development in the areas into which we expand,” CEO Cherif Abdallah noted.
