Ahead of the 2020 West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Women football competition slated to take place in Sierra Leone, a 33-man Liberian delegation left Monrovia on Sunday, February 23 for Makeni.
Liberia will partake in the maiden edition of the West African Football Union (Wafu Zone A) Nations Cup finals in Sierra Leone.
The delegation is headed by Blanco FC President Cyrus Yeanay and includes LFA videographer and photographer James Sillah and women’s football desk officer Aletha Massaquoi; Professional Sisters President Lamin Kiadii, Determine Girls secretary-general Formorlu Fatomah, chauffeur Dauda Dorley and conductor Benedict Sieh.
Others on the delegation are; Head Coach Robert Lartey, Deputy Coach Famatta Dean, goalkeeping coach Jerry Bing, administrative manager Gayduo Princess Kennedy, medic Edith Kerwillian and kitman and caretaker Prince Teah.
The delegation left camp at the George Weah technical center in Careysburg at 7:00am to make the road trip.
Liberia will play Guinea Bissau on 26 February at 4:30PM, Mali on 28 February at 2:00PM and Gambia on 2 March at 4:00PM respectively in Group B.
