Replace Speeches With Actions

1

PRESIDENT JOSEPH BOAKAI has cautioned members of his cabinet to take care of issues that are national so that the country can move forward.
DURING THE 7TH cabinet meeting held at the Executive Mansion recently, President Boakai emphasized the importance of addressing national issues to foster the country’s progress on grounds that they have inherited a country that faces numerous challenges, and it is up to them to address these challenges.
HE ADDED THAT, one such challenge is mob violence and another is the frequent dissatisfaction that arises from various issues while individual concerns and interests matter, we cannot ignore the larger problems facing this country.
HE CALLED FOR a collective effort to make a significant impact and added that the government cannot solve all the problems at one time, but efforts can be made.
WE BELIEVE THAT President Boakai’s caution to his cabinet to focus on national issues is a necessary reminder, but it must be followed by concrete action as Liberia faces deep-rooted challenges, and while acknowledging them is important, solutions must take precedence.
THE PRESIDENT CANNOT do it all alone and that is while we join him to call on cabinet members to prioritize tackling mob violence, addressing public dissatisfaction and youth unemployment.
AS THESE ISSUES demand swift and strategic responses, we call for a concerted effort that translates strategic responses through actions for effective service delivery and not just words of caution.
WE URGED THE Boakai’s administration to set clear priorities, outline measurable goals, and ensure follow-through because Liberians need more than caution; they need action.
ONCE AGAIN, CABINET members must work collectively to create measurable solutions, translate talks into real progress for the Liberian people as the time for speeches has passed and now is the time for actions.
