Ganta, Nimba County, Liberia Feb. 20, 2020 –Senator Prince Y. Johnson has disclosed that he will not support the confirmation of the Superintendent-designate, Nelson Korquoi, at the Liberian Senate.
Speaking to a local radio station in Nimba County, Senator Johnson expressed dissatisfaction that Mr. Korquoi would lie about his credentials which is important to process at the Senate.
The Nimba County lawmaker accused Mr. Korquoi of holding secret meetings with Chairman Mulbah Morlu to dismiss the county inspector, Regald Mehn.
When contacted via mobile phone about Senator Johnson’s allegation, the Superintendent-designate refused to delve into the matter but said he will speak to the press appropriately.
The newly appointed superintendent served as Chairperson for the CDC in the county during the heat of the Presidential and General elections in 2017 and was later appointed as the Commerce Inspector in 2018 before his nomination to the highest political office in the county which is pending confirmation by the Liberian Senate.
Meanwhile, Senator Johnson admitted that the working relationship between him and President Weah has not been cordial on grounds that the President turned down all of his recommendations for the superintendent post and other position in government.
“President Weah is not working with the Legislative Caucus to discuss and distribute the monies received from the scraps as well as the Social Development Funds that was credited by the government,’ Sen. Johnson reminded.
He said if Superintendent Korquoi is confirmed, he will not work with him as the senior senator in the County. Nelson Korquoi when confirmed will replace the out-going Superintendent David Dorr Cooper
Woah! I’m really loving the template/theme of this site. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s challenging to get that “perfect balance” between user friendliness and visual appeal. I must say you’ve done a awesome job with this. Additionally, the blog loads very fast for me on Firefox. Outstanding Blog!
I think other website proprietors should take this website as an model, very clean and great user friendly style and design, let alone the content. You’re an expert in this topic!
You have noted very interesting points! ps decent website.
Hello. This article was really fascinating, particularly since I was browsing for thoughts on this matter last Friday.
In the grand scheme of things you actually secure an A for effort. Where you misplaced us ended up being on all the facts. As as the maxim goes, details make or break the argument.. And it could not be much more accurate right here. Having said that, let me reveal to you exactly what did work. The authoring is certainly incredibly convincing and this is probably the reason why I am making an effort to comment. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. Second, while I can easily notice a jumps in reason you make, I am not necessarily confident of exactly how you seem to unite your ideas which inturn help to make the conclusion. For the moment I will subscribe to your position but wish in the future you actually connect your facts much better.
