“Uphold The Principles Of Fairness, Impartiality” ….Boakai Urges Judges

President Joseph Boakai has urged judges of the Supreme Court of Liberia to remain steadfast in their duty and to uphold the principles of fairness and impartiality.
The ceremony marked a significant moment in Liberia’s legal history, reinforcing the Supreme Court’s role in delivering justice with integrity and fairness.
Making remarks during the 2025 March Term opening of the Supreme Court, President Boakai emphasized the judiciary’s role in upholding justice without fear or bias.
According to him, the foundation of the nation’s democracy rests on a strong judicial system that dispenses justice without fear, bias, or illusion. Urging judges to remain steadfast in their duty and to uphold the principles of fairness and impartiality.
President Boakai highlighted historical figures who shaped legal systems worldwide, including past Chief Justices in Liberia, whose legal legacies continue to shape Liberia’s justice system.
He however pledged his government’s continued support for judicial reforms. He called on citizens to trust the legal system, ensuring that justice remains the foundation of the nation’s governance.
He mentioned that, the Rule of Law is the third pillar in his government ARREST Agenda for Inclusive Development. “We intend to work with the judiciary to ensure that the requirements and conditions for a fully functioning judiciary are met,” he concluded.
