The Inquirer is a leading independent daily newspaper published in Liberia, based in Monrovia. It is privately owned with a "good reputation".

Tribute To Comrade Zenu Miller: We All Failed You!

William Shakespeare is universally revered as the greatest English playwright of all time. His words have influenced authors across the globe and across time. His plays are full of irony and word-play that have earned him a preeminent place in history.
In one of Shakespeare’s plays, he described the ‘WORLD’ a stage where all men and women are merely players. They have their exits and their entrances; And one man in his time plays many parts.”

Therefore, Comrade Zenu has had the opportunity to play on this global scene , a role that no one else will play as he did. His memories and Legacies will live on in our minds as long we are all playing our parts.

Comrade Zenu is going to meet others comrades that departed this stage before him. He might likely be briefing them on the day, today activities of the media landscape and Liberia as a whole .

The likes of late comrades Lawrence Randall, Patrick Wokpoh, Matricia Seemon, Abdullah Kamara, Mamadee Diakaty, Segbeh Johnson and the rest of his predecessors. Zenu will provide these Comrades with recent updates of the motherland as it relates to national development and the media in general.

His predecessors will be disappointed about the current state of Liberia and media landscape , because nothing has improved and more besides, situation seems to be degenerating as they left . The most interesting discussion, will center around comrad Zenu departure to join them. Zenu will complain all of us on this side of the stage, he will tell the Comrades that he was sick and got brutalized by state security and the media fraternity never stoop up for him.

Zenu will tell the Comrades on their side that disunity has overcome the media to the extent that the Press Union of Liberia is now divided. He will tell the Comrades that even his co-workers at his work place abandoned him and he was left with no alternative but to to seek God’s intervention to join them on the other side . The Comrades will be disappointed in us after Zenu has narrated his journey to them . They will be vex with us and they will curse us .

We all must seek for forgiveness from them Comrades. Some of them, were also betrayed by us and that is how they also left us here, ironically, we are still doing the same. Neglecting our comrades and allowing them to submit to death. We need to stop this and show love to each others. We need to unite and hold together because this is a journey that we all will travel no matter what .

Shakespeare tells us a little about how he sees the world. He believes that, like actors, we play many parts/roles and pass through seven stages of life, from “mewling” infant to “mere oblivion” (death). This quote reminds us that, in our own lives, we are mere performers playing the roles we are given. Perhaps the playwright is reminding us that we should not take our own dramas too seriously.
So, I say to comrade Zenu Miller to rest on the Lord, I know it was not your desire to leave us so soon
