The Church of the Lord Worldwide Liberia Province, held its annual Thanksgiving harvest celebration at its provincial headquarters.
The event-themed, “Harvest of Joy,” highlighted gratitude, unity, and the importance of giving back to the community.
This year’s harvest theme underscored the cyclical nature of life, emphasizing that there is a time to sow and a time to reap and also sought to raise awareness of global hunger while encouraging attendees to show love and share their blessings with those in need.
Speaking to the media after the event, Provincial Head Bishop Moses Victor Olasemojo reflected on the cultural, historical, and agricultural significance of the harvest.
He described the annual Thanksgiving as a moment for the congregation to reflect on the blessings of the year and express gratitude to God.
“The Thanksgiving Harvest is a time when the children of God come before Him to appreciate all He has done throughout the year,” Bishop Olasemojo said.
He highlighted the importance of sharing with those less fortunate, emphasizing, “God is love, and there should be love among neighbors, no matter how little we have.”
The Bishop revealed that the church consistently supports disadvantaged youth at its center by sharing food and other essentials.
He noted that this outreach reflects the church’s commitment to embodying God’s love through service and generosity.
Bishop Olasemojo also celebrated the event’s strong turnout, noting that members came together in unity and gratitude.
“Our lives reflect the blessings of God, and this annual gathering allows us to reason, plan, and seek God’s direction for the year ahead,” he added.
Bishop Olasemojo used the occasion to call for national unity, urging Liberians to join hands to advance peace, honesty, and development in the country. “Unity, peace, and honesty are essential for achieving our goals as a nation,” he said.
He encouraged citizens to let love prevail and to avoid plotting harm against one another. “We must see ourselves as one people, regardless of political differences,” he advised.
The church leader also announced plans for ministers to meet three times a year for prayer retreats. “We gather once a year to reflect and plan, but our ministers will continue to seek God’s guidance throughout the year by going to the mountain to pray,” he stated.
The Thanksgiving Harvest celebration was a vibrant and spiritual occasion that reminded attendees of their duty to show gratitude, share blessings, and foster unity.
The Church of the Lord Worldwide Liberia Province continues to play a pivotal role in promoting love, generosity, and national solidarity through its faith-based initiatives.
