Homicide Investigations Heat-up …As Human Skeleton Discovered In Nimba

The Liberia National Polic e(LNP) in Nimba County has disclosed that it is conducting homicide investigations over the discovery of alleged human skeleton in Nimba County. .
Speaking to reporters in Sanniquellie, ACP Mendin Larmie disclosed the discovery of human skeleton in the town of Gbor Corsant in Nimba County.
According to the police, the skeleton is a male and investigations are ongoing to establish facts surrounding the skeleton.
“The CSD is in charge of the investigations and will speak to you on the issue,” ACP Larmie revealed.
When contacted, the Criminal Services Department (CSD) Commander, Emmanuel Grausie, confirmed the ongoing investigation into the alleged mysterious death of a man who reportedly went missing and his skeleton now been discovered.
“Police preliminary investigations have uncovered and identified the skeleton to be that of Tarkpor Nuah, 45 years of age. The man reportedly went missing in the district in November 2024,” CSD Grausie said.
“The girl friend of the victim, Lucy Gono, aged 55, is presently in police custody undergoing investigations,” CSD Grausie further pointed out.
Speaking further, Grausie disclosed that beside the homicide investigations, the police has received complaint concerning the killing of three men who were subsequently buried in a mass grave in the county.
“Emerson Mehmakeh, 34 years of age, filed a complaint with commissioner Ernest Doitoe on November 21, 2024, alleging the killing of Alex Mehmakeh, Prince to be identified and another another ‘Gio boy’, but investigation is still ongoing,” CSD investigator Grausie stated.
Meanwhile, the CSD commander asserts, ” The Police has dispatched a team to identify the alleged mass grave pending investigations,” CSD intimated.
