Boakai Congratulates Japan’s New Prime Minister

President Joseph Boakai has on behalf of the Government and people of Liberia and in his own name, extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to Shigeru Ishiba, Prime Minister of Japan on his achievement.
According to a Foreign Ministry release, President Boakai stressed that Prime Minister Ishiba ascendancy to this noble office is yet another milestone in the occasion of democracy in Japan and that it reflects the confidence his compatriots have in his demonstrated leadership skills and his ability to steer the governance of that great country.
“As you begin your term of office, we pray for blessing, wisdom, courage and sustained good health for the onerous task ahead,” President Boakai stated.
The Liberian leader also expressed hope that the relations subsisting between the two countries and people will be further cemented under his able leadership.
He then assured the Japanese Prime Minister of Liberia’s support and cooperation as they work together for the mutual benefit of their two countries and for the promotion of the objectives of the United Nations.
