“Re-Opening Of Farm To Market Road Will Be My Focus” —Commissioner Joe Discloses

The Doe Administrative District Commissioner, Chris Joe, says re-opening of feeder roads in the district will be her focus in her first year in office in lower Nimba County.
Speaking in Tappita, Commissioner Joe revealed that plans are underway to reopen feeder roads to connect with other towns to promote the agriculture sector in the district.
According to Commissioner Joe, the government roads from Dompa to Zeongan connecting Zekepah to Tappita have been closed for several years which is creating hardship on the residents in the district.
“My first year in office will focus on the rehabilitation of Yourpea Town road to connect it with the administrative headquarter in Zuolay Town,” Commissioners Joe boasted.
Speaking on series of issues, Commissioner Joe disclosed that the bad road condition in the district is among contributing factors to the economic hardship on the residents of the district.
“Since the beginning of the rainy season, many of the farmers agriculture products are not on the market, the road going to some of the towns cut off due to the heavy down pour of rain,” Commissioner Joe lamented.
“The my district contained 59 towns, 14 zone chief, four clan chief, two paramount chiefs,” Commissioner Joe asserts.
The Doe Administrative District Commissioner Joe replaces Commissioner Wehyee.
Commissioner Joe was appointed on June 24, 2024, to steer the affairs of the Doe Administrative District but, to up present, the district commissioner office is still closed couple with her induction ceremony.
The female Commissioner Joe is operating in her private resident in Tappita and she is presently refer to by many of the residents as mobile district Commissioner.
“I am a mobile Commissioner waiting to be inducted into office, the district office key is still with the former Commissioner Wehyee,” Commissioner Doe disclosed.
