CDC Engaging In Deceptive Politics?

By Alex Yomah
The Ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) is seemingly involved in what is considered as deceptive politics by raining praises on President George Weah few days after taking issue with him and other leaders of the party.
The action by the party to rain praises on the party’s political leader came in the wake of an audio report circulating in the media in which the party’s Chairperson Mulbah Morlu made startling revelations against President George Weah.
Many observers believe the party’s latest attempt to extol its political leader is only intended to pacify the President after such damaging audio recording against the President’s personality.
Recently, the party issued a strong worded statement in which the party called on President Weah among other issues, to probe some senior officials of government who the party believes acquired mammoth wealth in relatively short period of time in the CDC-led Government.
This statement released by the party perhaps annoyed the party’s political leader and some senior officials of the party who are in proximity with the presidency.
Report says, the party’s statement ignited brawl between Chairman Morlu and the President in which it was reported that President Weah reportedly said he does not want to work with Morlu as chairman of the party.
Report also says, meeting organized by Commerce Minister, Prof. Wilson Tarpeh to rekindle and resolve impasse of which Prof. Tarpeh felt is affecting the party reportedly proved fruitless as Morlu and Representative Moses Acarous Gray, Vice Chair for Political Affairs and other party officials walked out of the meeting held at the President’s Jamaica Residence.
Amidst the reported internal wrangling, the party stated in the press conference that there exists no conflict as indicated by the opposition.
Morlu through the National Executive Committee praised the impressive performance of President George Weah for his great deliberation on Friday on ELBC. Morlu in his message said, the deliberation had great resonance with millions of ordinary people and reassured the business community that he has come to be a ‘rallied cry’ to national unity.
According to the party, the party’s political leader inspired hope during the interaction and spoke frankly about the challenges, and touched on the pressing issues CDC detractors on the other side of the divide have been exploiting to cause violence and foment chaos in the country.
“CDC appreciates said captivating and reassuring balm in the President’s message, which was interlaced with his usual characteristic frankness and warm touch,” Morlu asserted.
“ We were awakened to the fact that over the nearly two years of his presidency, our President’s commitment levels have only increased and remains relentless in his drive to make the differences, and is also dedicated to the task for which he was elected,” Morlu stated.
Morlu also stressed that the President’s speech has inspired partisans into collective action for peace and unity as a mass-based institution committed to supporting George Manneh Weah’s Pro-poor agenda for the country.
Recently, the party outlined few issues, the party called on the President to address, both as leader of the country and of the CDC. “As a father to us all and as a listening leader, he has promised to look into some of the issues raised, while clarifying others to our understanding”.
“We are grateful to the President for this distinctive mark of excellent leadership, which has galvanized the CDC to continue to commit its unflinching support and solid defense of his Excellency’s people-centered policies and program,” he said.
Contrary to the deliberate misinterpretations of some detractors in the opposition, the CDC’s recently released statement but was never meant to demean, rather to serve as a reminder to policymakers, mainly the Cabinet that the CDC’s governing manifesto remains a central-focus within the leadership dispensation of CDC governance efforts.
Also speaking on the peace stability, Mr. Morlu reminded partisans and Liberians that as a country confronted with many challenges; it is incumbent upon all citizens to work together as a united people to sustain the peace and stability of the land.
“It must not be forgotten that just a few years ago, war and violence was at our doorsteps, and peace was only possible through the sacrifice of countless lives from good nations and profound international institutions that came to our rescue,” Morlu said.

Hello this is somewhat of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding skills so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be enormously appreciated!

Almost all of the things you point out is astonishingly accurate and that makes me ponder why I hadn’t looked at this in this light previously. This particular article really did turn the light on for me personally as far as this topic goes. But there is actually 1 factor I am not too cozy with so while I try to reconcile that with the main idea of the position, permit me see just what all the rest of the readers have to point out.Nicely done.
