Foreign Minister Sara Nyanti is in Tokyo, Japan, leading a high-level delegation to participate in the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Ministerial Meeting.
This gathering is taking place from August 22-26, 2024, the meeting brings together African foreign ministers and Japanese officials to discuss and reinforce cooperation between Japan and African nations.
Minister Nyanti’s visit underscores Liberia’s commitment to deepening its bilateral relations with Japan and engaging in multilateral dialogues aimed at addressing some of Africa’s most pressing developmental challenges.
Her participation highlights Liberia’s strategic focus on sustainable growth and economic diversification, in line with the government ARREST agenda.
Launched in 1993, TICAD has become a pivotal platform for African development, focusing on economic growth, peace, security, and the promotion of social and environmental sustainability.
